1. Do things that don’t scale.
Many of the early successes of 37signals came from doing things that didn’t scale. They were small, personal projects that got them in front of new people and allowed them to build relationships with important contacts.
2. Sell before you build.
Before anything else, Fried and Heinemeier Han emphasize the importance of selling your ideas to others. If you can get people on board with your vision, they’ll be more likely to help you make it a reality.
3. Don’t be afraid to change your mind.
The world is constantly changing and so are our opinions on what works and what doesn’t change every time, so you just have to roll with the punches and accept that things do change.

Thanks, Nikola. Yes, I highly recommend it. Do come back and let me know what you thought of the book.

This was just what I needed. Because I’ve been on a fence about buying “yet another business/motivation book”.

I thought I read enough of those.
But this one seems different, since you recommend it so fervently and read it every 6 months.
I’m putting it on my “to buy” list” and once I read it, I’ll come back and let you know what I think.
Thanks:)
